Low-level laser therapy uses penetrating light to decrease pain and inflammation while improving healing in pets with problems such as arthritis, surgical incisions, and other wounds.

Ultrasound units employ sound waves of varying frequency to increase blood flow and facilitate wound healing when applied to tissues. This therapy can treat tendonitis, pain, muscle spasms, joint stiffness, and scar tissue build up.

Electrical stimulation can strengthen muscles and reduce muscle wasting in pets who suffer from temporary paralysis or who are unable to use specific muscles for a short period of time. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) is also used to stimulate the release of pain relieving-substances from nerves.

Therapeutic exercise can be incorporated into every patient’s rehabilitation plan to improve strength, balance, and coordination. A wide range of exercises target specific muscle groups, strengthen core muscles, and rebuild muscular strength after disuse.
Rosie was my beloved pet for 13 years, she passed away last March from cancer. I worked for 20 years at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital. During that time when I worked in the Surgery Department, Rosie was brought to our hospital by a breeder at 12 weeks of age. The Breeder told us that Rosie was born with genetic defects and needed surgical correction. As the doctor discussed the procedure to correct the malformation, the breeder declined the surgery and opted for euthanasia. The Doctor refused and asked her to be surrendered to our care. Rosie had the surgery and did very well. When she was healed from the surgery I adopted her! Rosie lived a full life with my family and I. She loved camping, hiking, swimming and boating! I helped her recover from her surgery, 2 knee surgeries and chronic pain from arthritis. I helped her live a pain free life with Veterinary rehabilitation. With dedication and perseverance I can make a difference in your pet’s quality of life as well!

“We also want to thank you for sending us Elaine. She has truly been the reason why Murphy had lasted as long as he did and didn’t decline as quickly as he would have without her laser treatments and physical therapy sessions. She always was upbeat and showed him so much love and has been truly an angel and we will be forever grateful for her.
We wish you continued success with your very special business that changes the lives of so many pets & families.
Warmest Regards,
Rosanna & Frank McCormick & Family.”
